Cllr Salvatore Murtas
Salvatore lives in Southfields with his wife Marlena and teenage son Giorgio. Very active in the local community, he joined St John Bosco College as Governor in 2019, and sat as vice-chair of the local Neighbourhood Watch between 2019 and 2021.
After completing an MA in Contemporary European Studies at the University of Bath in 2003, Salvatore worked in Brussels for two years, then in Rome where he began his career in media, PR and communications. He currently works as PR and Communications consultant in the services sector.
Passionate about making a positive impact on his local community, Salvatore has campaigned extensively on AELTC's overdevelopment, and improving Putney High Street.
As an enthusiast of modern European history, he spends his free time running the International Churchill Society Italia, a cultural association devoted to promoting the historical, political and cultural legacy of Sir Winston Churchill.
Cllr Robert Morritt
Robert has lived in Putney for just over 20 years. He and his Italian wife were both drawn to the area by its plentiful green spaces and low Council Tax.
In his professional life Robert is a senior leader at one of the UK’s largest providers of social and affordable homes. Helping provide high quality housing for some of the most vulnerable. He is actively involved with the building of new homes and the regeneration of existing properties to meet modern standards and improve energy efficiency.
He chairs his local Residents Association helping manage and oversee 110 flats and town houses for the benefit of his community.
Robert is a keen cyclist having given up battling the constant traffic in and around Putney.
In his spare time Robert is a fan of art and travel. Much to his wife’s consternation he is a keen follower of the England Cricket team trying to take in several Tests each year both home and away.
Cllr Ethan Brooks
Ethan Brooks has served as a councillor for Thamesfield ward since 2022. Before entering local politics, he worked at the BBC, for a charity supporting blind children, and at a tech startup developing a navigation app.
He is Wandsworth Conservatives’ Environment Spokesperson, holding the Labour Council to account on failures in waste and recycling collections, the care of parks, traffic management, and street cleaning. He’s led the campaign to push the Labour Council to reverse its changes to the junction by Putney Bridge that’s caused so much traffic pain for the last few years.
After his election, Ethan co-founded the Save Putney High Street group with local residents to provide a platform for community concerns and help residents push for improvements. He has led campaigns to challenge the takeover of Putney High Street by endless takeaways and gambling shops and has led the opposition’s review of licensing policy.
He lives in Putney near Wandsworth Park with his partner, Caroline.
