Steffi has lived in Putney with her family for over 20 years and was first elected as a Councillor in 2010. Alongside championing issues for West Putney Residents, Steffi is the borough Cabinet Member for Community Services and Open Spaces, a portfolio that aligns well with her interests. She also sits on the Executive Committee, and Roehampton Partnership.
She takes a special interest in the successful integration of public spaces with our built environment and is keen to promote high quality environmental improvements where possible. Her work for the council embraces libraries and leisure which she recognises play an important part in residents’ quality of life. In the the past she has mentored young offenders and served as a trustee of the Child Brain Injury Trust. Most notably she successfully lobbied in 2000 for changes to the Special Educational Needs paper to accommodate the needs of those with Acquired Brain Injuries.
Steffi has also served as Deputy Chair of Governors at the Alton School and at the Ark Putney Academy, and is a past Chairman of the Putney Society.
In her spare time Steffi entertains friends and family, having inherited a love of cooking from her Cordon Bleu-trained mother.
