Duty to protect Iraqi Interpreters

Duty to protect Iraqi Interpreters

Join local Conservatives in the campaign to protect the 91 Iraqi interpreters who have been helping British forces in Basra by signing our petition.

David Cameron's Conservatives have called on the Government to get its act together and ensure the safety of the 91 Iraqi interpreters now under threat after serving with British forces on operations in the Basra area.

As local Conservatives continue to apply pressure on the Government, Battersea's Parliamentary spokesman Jane Ellison has written directly to the Home Secretary. The Home Office have to date insisted that the interpreters' claims for asylum had to go through the usual bureaucratic channels without any special consideration.

Security experts have warned that the interpreters are marked men who face a horrific death because they are regarded by the militias as collaborators and traitors.

If you want to add your support to the campaign then please click on the link below to sign our petition and we'll forward it to the Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague MP as he continues to press the Government to get its act together.
