Fairer Deal For Wandsworth Town

Wandsworth Conservatives are on a campaign to improve Wandsworth Town Station and make it a better place for passengers.

Many people use Wandsworth Town Station daily, however those that are disabled, carrying luggage or travelling with children are at a disadvantage. There is no access to the platforms other than climbing up huge stairways.

Wandsworth Conservatives are campaigning for the rights of these passengers as well as pushing for other improvements at the station, such as Oyster prepay and more ticket machines.

We have been trying to find out what local commuters really want, and have been circulating a short survey amongst local residents so as we can truly represent your views. So far these are the issues that are really coming to the fore.

Passengers have said they would like to be able to use Oyster pre-pay to cut down the costs of travel.

They also feel that staffing at the station is inadequate. The low numbers of staff on nights and weekends in particular creates an unfriendly environment for passengers, and the lack of staff that can sell tickets to travellers in a suitable location is also a problem that has been reported to us.

Wandsworth Conservatives are determined to campaign for improvements at Wandsworth Town station on your behalf.
